like Sara said it would be an e92. But since yours is a 2012 i believe you would also need the LCI version. 2011-2012

LCI stands for life style impulse. It's what bmw calls their face lifted models from 2011+

There are two options for you:

Black grill with black fins (m sport i believe) or black grill with silver fins (335is). I like & have the latter.

The install isnt much different then the older model cars. I changed out the grille on both my 2009 and 2012 and the only difference I could see was that on the newer LCI models there are less tabs that hold them in place. If anything it was a little easier.

I got mine off **********s.com shipping was quick and i think it varies from 75-110 depending on what finish you want (Matte, Gloss, or Carbon) Also Just by doing a quick search through the vendors here I believe Modmy3 carries them, and i wouldn't doubt if the other popular vendors have them as well.

I bought the matte black, looks great on SGM. BTW, I have the LCI version too. I like the new headlights and grills, but not a fan of the bumper. What was BMW thinking??! Oh yes, we need to spend more money for the m sport....

I prefer gloss black on M-Sport/Sport to match the gloss black shadowline trim. I got gloss black border with matte black slits on mine.

I have a 2012 335i E92 with the M package. At my request, my CA put a set of the BMW black performance grills in the trunk for me when I took delivery. I installed them when I returned home and if I recall, it took about 30 minutes. I followed the DIY on this site - very easy.

Here are the part numbers off the boxes:

R - 51 71 2 158 984
L - 51 71 2 158 985

You should verify these in case there have been any changes since May when I took delivery!

Still the same for the OEM replacement. Most aftermarket versions will not use these part numbers.
