1st 1/4 mile event in the 335i - FML

So, went to the drags last night, its usually an exciting time, but i knew all to well the little monsters in the JB4 would come out to play!
The car has been running map7 with E55 mix & 19-20psi, FBO, E85 flash tune. Car usually runs this map with no issues. Terry has checked my logs and all was apparently good!
I start driving up to the track with a mate in his car & everytime i put my foot down to race him the car ran like shit, had to pull over & turn car off an on again. I checked my boost target which i set at 21.6psi to make sure i wasn't over boosting.
Got to the track, got half way down the 1/4 mile and the car shutdown on power (feels like missfire of all cylinders) and literally "coasted" across the line with a 12.7 sec @ 104mph.
I thought bugger this how embarrassing, i then went down the road put it in map5 and did a few pulls for it to adapt.
Got back out on the track in map5 and ran 3 passes at 12.5 sec @112mph.
Map5 feels really slow compared to my map7.
Was really hoping to run strong on map7 all night and run in the 11's, but NO!! Good old 335i knows better lol .
Just when i thought i had this car 100% soughted it comes back and bites me on the ass. It's a real "love, hate" relationship with the 335i's

Im trying to upload my CSV file log's on here but can't??

Sorry mate, on mobile so it doesn't show.

What flash method are you using? Map 7 is certainly hits much higher targets, and the fact that it doesn't happen in map 5 makes me think it may be related to the flash.

I'm know expert, but I wonder how your car would do with a proper ECU custom tune. No intention of opening up a piggyback (jb4) vs ECU tune debate, but I heard guys running COBB with a ptf tune putting down some good consistent numbers down the 1/4.

11.9 is awesome.

Things might have changed a bit recently with MHD in the mix.

I found that with flash only my throttle behaviour was consistent compared jb4.

I still believe if you get your car tuned by someone that puts a bit of effort in you will get the bed results. Jb4 ptf wedge buraq mhd I don't think it really matters

The quickest really?? I thought everyone would be easily running at least 12.5's!
I know i could have run at least a 12.2 on map5 but my launches were not so good as it was my 1st time at the track with the 335i. My 60ft times were a dismal 1.9, 2.0 & 2.1, the 1.9 not so bad but could have definately been better with the use of a BMS Kickdown blocker!.
Map7 is seriously noticeably faster in my car, easily capable of a 11's pass with a decent launch.
In a few weeks time ill head back out and get an 11. Also worth noting, im still on full stock exhaust, stock almost bald runflat tyres, and no meth!

Yes your right, a custom tune is what is needed in my case as the car is running like shit down a 3yr old's leg lol.
And i agree, JB4 can be noticably inconsistent
