Steering Wheel controls with Double din impossible?

Hi everyone, I had my Kenwood 6960 installed a while back by a shop and they are telling me that steering wheel controls is not possible on my car 2006 325i. Is this true, or are they just talking out of their ass? Also anyone know any other bezel that mounts a double din on an e90 I don't like how mine looks. Thanks.

I think you can use the PAC steering wheel adapter. Not sure of the exact name but just google PAC products.

There are quite a few different adapters by different companies to retain SWC with aftermarket headunit. search.

I'm not sure. The shop actually wanted to us an IR sort of receiver to the buttons on the steering wheel. Sort of like if you were pressing those buttons from the remote control for the HU. I was extremely mad that I didn't even let them try it because these clowns were just making go there for no reason.

This should work also. Possibly the best steering wheel interface I have ever installed.

Interesting... I'm going to look into that. Do you have it installed yourself? I might try it out.
