As many of you may know the Dark Knight currently sports a set of 19 inch gloss black 199s.

This last winter has been brutal, and has opened up several road hazard opportunities for my poor 19s, and I just can't take it anymore right now (and neither can my wallet.)

Phase one of the plan is to refinish my gloss black 19" 199s and bring them back to as close to new from the factory as possible, then sell them (hopefully to one of you kind (and local) forum members.

Which brings me to phase two soon after - and I'm looking to all of you to help influence my final decision on the matter.

I am looking into powder coating my stock 18 inch 189s, which are the standard aluminum alloy.

I'm not sure if there are options available for powder coating, but I was looking into these possibilities if there were:

Should I go with

1) gloss black
2) matte black
3) gunmetal
4) refinish em and leave em au natural!

Reasons for your choice a major bonus!

BSM with coral red E93 with m-sport.

Thanks to all!

I would say gunmetal with black exterior... but since you are Dark Knight you might prefer Gloss Black over GM.

Haha, yea the gloss black has kind of been my trademark around the area, but might be good to get some contrast this time around. Keep em coming!

Definitely Gunmetal. The spokes on the 189s are so wide that any black that isn't perfectly glossed and cleaned daily ends up looking like a spare wheel from over 10ft away.

This guy painted his Gunmetal

Edit: you can turn this into a poll to make it easier to read results. (thread tools top right)

Smart choice. Black on black is a tired look that is hard to pull off in a way that looks good. Most of the time it looks cheap/ricey.

OEM silver on 189s takes my vote. I'm just not a fan of blacked out or even gunmetal 189s. CSL style meshes look good in black. I think blacked out 197's would look much better.

If you had pictures of your cars and the wheels, it'd be easier to give suggestions.
