Disabling PI for stock tune?

Hey guys,

I have a question that I've searched for but cannot find anyone looking to do the same thing.

I have port injection and run a custom Wedge tune on full e85. It's great and I daily drive it, I have plenty of access to e85 in my area.

But I regularly drive out of state to visit family and there's no e85 there. I also plan to do a track day soon and would like to run stock-ish boost rather than the aggressive Wedge tune to put less stress on my engine and turbos.

Which option would I need to go with?

A) Simply switch to a conservative tune with the PI still spraying
B) Disable the PI somehow but leave it in place
C) Get another custom tune for pump gas and low boost but still using PI

Thanks so much!

I run a weatherproof connector inline on the ground wire to the AIC that I can access under the passenger cowl cover. You can run it with 93, but I figured safest to just disable it.

This is great info, thanks so much! I take it you switch between using and not using the PI?

Does the car run fine on the non-PI tune with the manifold spacer still in place?

I'm excited, I haven't been able to take the car out of state or very far at all haha

Just leave the PI all hooked up and run a tun set up for 91-93 fuel. Problem solved.

Like a normal OTS tune or a special one designed for PI? For example could I just run MHD stage 2+ and the car will compensate for the PI still spraying?

I'm assuming that since you are running a PI setup....you had someone make a custom tune for you. Why don't you contact them and see what they suggest?

I bought the car with this setup and the only custom tunes I have for it are for e85
