anyone know where i can get a tire shaved anywhere in colorado? i know tire rack does it but they do not have the tire i need thanks guys

There is a shop in Boulder that does it...I can't recall the name but let me see if I can find it.

Looks like Tire Source was the place, but is now closed. This sucks because I need to get one shaved as well!

I've got a RWD 335 - open diff. Give me the tire you need shaved, I'll do a burn out and take it down to the amount you need. Free of charge

Seriously though, have you tried Discount or Big O?

I called quite a few places a couple years ago with no luck. The only place I found was Tire Source. Let me know if you find a shop because I need to have it done for one of mine.

I know you've said you've tried Tire Rack, but was curious if you asked a general customer service person. If not, hit up Gary Stanley. He is great to work with and may be able to find a solution for you. He's been real supportive of the BMW community.

ill give him a shot yea i talked to a general person on the phone he said they cant do anything or special order cuz of the brand of tire i need looks like im just going to have to suck it up and buy all 4..... yay x drive lol

You could get away with two from what I understand, but I was in the same boat as you and ended up replacing all four as well.

Try calling a racing shop like 3R Auto or SCR, they could probably lead you in the right direction.

Also, just realized that there is a tire rack in Colorado... Perhaps they can do it at their facility?

no luck! only if you buy the tire from them (which they do not sell) he told me to try a race track?
