REST allows you to keep the heater running when the engines off, using the residual heat left in the cooling system.

So in practice when it's chilly outside, it keeps your car nice and toasty while you pop to the shops to get something

REST function requires additional electric water pump to work
so, if it's not available - there is no REST function
