My car is prewired for Sirius and since this would be relatively easy DIY I am contemplating on doing it this summer. Do you know any reliable source to get Sirius receiver?

Looking like I may have some time to meet Sunday morning if anyone is interested.

I'll check back here later.

Cheers

James

EDIT: I see the weather is looking pretty shitty Sunday so far.

EDIT II: weather forecast is much better now

No worries.
Looks like this weekend will be snow, so not a good time to dance around on summer rubber.

I was actually thinking of doing the same. I called Otto's yesterday and got a quote for 65 12 9 192 274 ($541.66). They didn't seem to think it would be a problem getting one. One thing I'm curious about is whether or not that includes a year of Sirius...

I will call Otto today, but it seems that 2011 needs different part #.....
This is confusing......

so, all 2011 despite if you have iDrive or not have Sirius integrated into the head unit/iDrive. You just need a code from a dealer and 2 hrs of coding (well you can do that yourself).
Talking about coding, I am just about to purchase a set of Xenons (Euro or US spec, still not sure) and I will need some guidelines on how to code them in. I have a cable and software, but I have not started playing with it as of yet...
Anyone has experience with that?

What I heard from many friends in the states, Panny = $$$$ TCO (when warranties expire).
Have you seen/test-driven a Jaguar XFR ?

They sure do get pissed when they see young people in a 335i! They really do need to relax.
The best is driving the Panamera downtown, they do not expect to see a 20 something in a Panny. It makes far too many other vehicles accelerate fast.
I looked at the XFR when buying my car. It is so well priced in Canada.

I'm on the lookout for blacklines for a pre-LCI sedan / wagon. Hit me up if you have any.

Question Too quiet

Since Ottawa forum has been dead for almost 2 weeks, anyone interested in this weekend meet?
A good timing since everyone else is probably going to all the open doors in Ottawa.

I should have posted about the club cruise this past Sunday... it was great.

I might be up for a coffee meet or something.

is there a tally on the number of forum members based in ottawa?

I'm thinking there's a higher proportion of conservative people (# of govt jobs?) here who are family oriented who either do not want/get a bimmer, or don't frequent the forums, internet, computers, electricity??

My SA at Elite said they moved a grand total of 3 (THREE!) 335is. Sigh I would have made it 4 had it been available 4 years ago.

Cool

Time to call the Ottawa summer meet. Tentative dates:
July 14, 2012 after 8:00 PM or July 15, 2012 lunch time.
Let the quorum decide the precise time and place.

Any takers?
I'll see about coming out tonight if the young lads agree that bed time is on the cards this evening.
