Winter Tire Help Please!!! :)

Hi all,

I have a set of Perelli snow tires from my E46 M3, size (225\45\18 255\40\18). I ordered a E90 330i and would like to re-use these tires for winter driving, if possible. I wanted to buy a new set of rims size (225/40/18 and 255/35/18) and mount my existing snow tires on the new rims.

1. Will my existing snow tires fit the new rims?
2. Assuming my snows will fit these new rims: will they work fine on my E90 330i? How can somebody "gurantee" this?

Thanks much!!!

Yes, it'll fit. However, your new setup will increase the diameter of the wheel by ~1". That means when you drive at 62mph, your odometer will read only 60mph.
