I'm at the dealership now.... Had an appointment at 10am booked two weeks ago and the crackhead SA tells me that the 2 hour labor service will be ready by end of day since they are busy..... Told the dude to politely fly a kite.... And get it down by noon... Str8 da fun up....
I hate dealership service |

If I'm not mistaken, this is for cars built after 3/07?

Got mine today. Don't know when I'll be taking it in. Existingly, there are a few minor pesky items ive wanted to go into dealership for, but never found the time to get around doing it (ie side mirror not tilting upon reverse gear).
Town&Country's shop was undergoing construction the last time I went, a few months ago, effecting their work efficiency - does anyone know if that has it been completed? Go to any BMW w/ your ownership and tell them you are now the new current owner of the vehicle. They will upload your information onto their db and send you any relevant info (ie recalls) |

^ Yes no cost. Phone up any dealership and give them your VIN # and they will schedule an appt for you. I went to downtown toronto bmw with full mods, mods are fine. Just make sure to turn your tune off though since they're resetting/pulling the battery for some cars.

Can someone who has actually had this recall done confirm what all is involved? I've read everything from splicing a wire in the trunk near the battery and adding a new connector (simple) to removing the glovebox, front passenger seat and door sill trim (not too keen on that).
Information abound on the internet; some real-life anecdotal experiences would be appreciated. Cheers, Asif |
