335i without strut braces?
This morning I re-installed my charge pipe and I noticed that my car doesn't have strut braces on either side. I've been looking at pictures of E92 and N54 engine bays and all of them have the strut braces. The car has the sport package.
I tried some searching but couldn't find any answers. Did some E92's or 335i's come without them? |

No 335i's came w/o strut braces. Did you buy your car used?
Unfortunately, I tossed my oe strut braces or I would have shipped 'em to you

Thanks for the replies guys. I bought my car used so it was probably taken off an not replaced at some point. The previous owner left all his receipts and everything was done at classic bmw so I will try and see if they will replace them for me. JDLM I sent you a PM too.

All 325i 328i 330i and 335i and 335ix's have oem strut tower braces. Someone probably removed them at some point and didn't put them back on the car. I don't know what repair procedure requires them to be removed...has the car been in an accident?

The previous owner left all the receipts from service and maintenance and the carfax is clean so if it was it wasn't reported.

I got a pair of braces for replacement, thanks JDLM!
From the diagrams I've seen, I need to remove the cowl and I need 2 M10X16 bolts and 1 M16x1.5 bolt with washer. Am I missing anything? Any tips for installation or is it as straight forward as it seems? |

The bolts are aluminium stretch bolts. One time use. Other than that, that's all you need to do.
