OK so on the Spec clutches with their flywheel it comes with the clutch disk, pressure plate, alignment tool, release bearing and pilot bearing.
For reference the ACT clutches only come with PP. Disk, and alignment tool. The stage 2 and 2+ are very popular. We recommend staying with the OEM DMFW if you are regular full bolt on. If you have upgraded turbo(s) and in excess of 500WHP you will need to go to a single mass flywheel. Historically the aluminum chatters quite a bit, and the steel option is supposed to chatter a little less. The DMFW at high HP levels are causing a inherent imbalance, causing false misfires. |

It's my Birthday and Lookie what just came ! ! !
Jeff......by the way, the kit also has the pressure plate attached to the flywheel with what look like 6 new fillister screws.....which I already purchased...anyways, tooks some pics and will start a DIY with lots of details and pictures, including the rear main change.

I also plan on chaning out the tranny fluid and go with a blend of ATF and MTL.....I have done the same blend on all my BMW's and it has worked well, even on my e46 m3. Also plan on changing out the rear main and all my diff fluids and Transfer Case. |

I've been traveling quite a bit on commercial airlines and car's been sitting at the airport parking garage 30 miles from my house. When I fly at the end of the week, I make sure to take the long way home because the first 5 or so miles my JB4 will not let me boost over stock.
The clutch seems to be breaking in well. I did some nice runs today with E85/94 octane (40/60 thereabouts) on JB4 Map 3 with 60 Add with (methanol/h20 70/30) and the car is an absolute monster.......I still get a little chatter at idle out of gear, no clutch. The engagement is smoother, but still a little chattery now and then but getting smoother with every shift. Overall a good clutch and we will see how she holds up. Feels good for a daily driver, but I can tell this clutch isn't stock and wants to be beat on! |
