haha ya I hear you, I listen to the same channels.

Just grab a used tranny on ebay that has low KM's. Can't go wrong and you can do a straight swap.

Lol... yep, without even looking I'm pretty sure as well this would be a pricey upgrade. Just nice nice to see someone is serious as compared to the other companies offering 'upgrades'.

I'll probably got the same route as you, any luck in finding a vendor for upgraded clutch packs? I called around a bit before with no luck.

I was searching for an overhaul kit and came across this site. They have fiber and steel ZF clutch packs for the 6HP21:

Yep, I believe these are the stockers made by borg warner for ZF.

Decent prices on that site.

Was hoping somebody found something of an upgrade with additional clutches per drum.

I was thinking the same thing. But when adding clutches to each drum you gotta add a friction plate and another clutch then the end plate followed by the ring that holds them in place I doubt there is room add this in each drum, I will take apart my blown transmission and look into it. And if I'm in the budget by that time I might buy the bulletproof overhaul kit from level 10 aswell but I will make sure I compare the old clutches gears and EVERYTHING to the "bullet proof ones and I'll even make thickness measurements

Makes sense...

http://www.scribd.com/doc/20322431/Repair-Manual

I found a repair manual, it is for the ZF6HP26 but I thought it was interesting from a process standpoint. Obviously the specs won't jive but it gives a good idea on the tear down, inspect, measure and build. Also, an idea of the special tools required, which I'm sure many can be substituted with other standard tools.

I'll try to find the ZF6HP21 manual.

Good luck with your build. I hope your luck turns around.
