Bought her some shoes, and took her to the chiropractor...
...and then she took me dancing. Lots of fun!
Made a day of it. Ordered some Pirelli P7 Cinturato All Season Plus XL tires in 235/45-17 size. I chose these because they had the best dry traction and lowest noise of any I researched. I sacrificed some wet traction for ride comfort because I spend a lot of time commuting on the interstate. I also went 10 mm wider with the same aspect ratio. I wanted a little more rubber on the road (because of my excessive torque) and a little larger circumference in order to help tame the torque and correct the speedometer error. Took my wheels to the installer and had the old tires removed, took them to a mobile wheel repair guy to get rid of the scuffs and scrapes, took them back to the installer to get the P7s mounted and balanced, took them home for mounting (also painted my calipers black), and drove back to the installer for a four-wheel alignment. The 3 mph error is now 2 at 70 mph. Launch hookup seems better and the ride is vastly improved. Cornering grip is amazing. |

Cool. Thought I was seeing double!
FYI, when I got my tint done three years ago, the installer had the same IR/UV blocking film with almost no tint at all. I had him put it on the windshield and moonroof. It's amazing how much that improved the air conditioning! Definitely worth doing. |

My "D" got lots of love.
3" Downpipe Gutted SCR JR Auto Tune - 2.5 RACE AAR EGR Delete Did all the work myself on the lift at work. A few good cuts on my knuckles getting the DPF out and getting the motor mount bracket loose. Tight Fit! Putting it back together was a breeze. I can't believe how damn fast these cars are tuned. Drove .5 mile after ignoring the low tire warning.. Figured it was just change in weather I'll check it later...
But the wee voice inside my head said better check it now, unfortunately it was too late I drove it long enough on the rim to damage the sidewall, but not quite enough that I couldn't make it to the petrol station to fill it full of air, then off to the tire shop.. $400 later and two new tires.... So the moral of the story is if you're low tire warning says low check it unless you have the one that tells you the actual psi.. Oh well.... There's 400 less in my M3 fund... |

Jess made me a 1 into 2 midpipe from the front/mid 2 pipes that would have connected to the original 335i head pipe. Photos attached...
