Getting the StaSIS Alcon BBK on my car tomorrow..

Will post pics and impressions in the coming days and weeks. Stay tuned. This is a 365mm front rotor...4 piston calipers..with Goodridge lines, motul RBF600 brake fluid, and SBS high performance brake pads...rear brakes are not include..or in my opinion..needed.

Oh..and they are letting me borrow one of their red Signature Series cars as a loaner..the thing is not bad at all..

Exactly like this....only in red and it includes Recaro Trend seats...and without the BBS-CH wheels..and with the DTM front bumper.

I hear alcon makes the best brakes and Stasis is a very reputable company, I am sure they will be amazing. Check your pm concerning Stasis series cars, thanks.

Cool! Stasis doing the work at Infineon? Is their shop still there? Had Stasis COs on my S4, loved them although I never drove good enough to be wearing those COs.

Let me know how that LSD install goes... Would be interested to see if they can get one installed if there's a welded diff cover. Mine is a March 07, dunno if it's welded or not...

I talked with Harold at HP Autowerks in Santa Barbara..he is helping StaSIS understand how to do it on a BMW. You cannot get the bearings...BMW wont sell them. you have to re-use the stock ones..BTW, my car is a Feb 07 build. Harold has done ..if I remember correctly....about three installs of quaife's in E90 335i cars.

I meant to say how you like the Audi over the BMW, but did not want to start a war... I drove the RS4 for twenty minutes before buying the 335i and was very impressed and personally think it is a superior "feeling" car to the 335i. However, a two year lease was $1,680 per month vs. $550! By selecting the BMW, I can now go and lease an Exige S as a second car and still be ahead over the single car ownership of the Audi.

Well, got the Alcon's installed...looks very sweet guys...will take pics when it is light out. I just got home and its 10pm...The mixture of the VS7s..and the Alcons is nice....so now I have probably eliminated about 15-16 lbs of unsprung weight with the wheels and non-run flat tires...about 2 lbs with the bilstein pss9s...and about 10 lbs with the alcons (yes, they weighed the stock vs. Alcon brakes...and I saved 10 lbs on both front corners). This diet my car is going on is really gonna increase performance...oh yeah..and I am gonna consider taking up StaSIS' offer of putting a slightly higher spring rate in the back on my PSS9s...not sure what yet...stay tuned. The LSD didnt get installed..but I will let them do it..they just ran out of time..probably get done in about 2 weeks when I get back from vacation...before my next track event at Infineon. Steve-out
