Is a minor paint chip like this even worth fixing?

Today I was making a left turn into a tight parking spot and accidentally scraped my bumper against my mom's car (thankfully nothing serious on her car).

There is a minor paint chip that's less than 1" wide circled in red. I'm thinking this isn't really worth the fix.

For you guys that experienced something like this, what did you do?

Lol wth...well based on your other scuffs and scrapes it seems you haven't learned your lesson yet, just wait till your next mistake and assess the damage

Grab some lacquer thinner and wipe. You'd be amazed how many scrapes can be fixed with thinner and a buff. 1st thing I do to damage is wipe it down to see what's really going on. A lot of very visible scratches can be sanded and buffed by a skilled technician. Just make sure it's lacquer thinner as that is safe, enamel reducer is not.

If the paint actually SCRAPED off then all the lacquer thinner and buffing in the world ain't gonna fix it haha. You can get a shop to match up a paint code and touch it up as a temporary fix. If it's an original bumper then you don't need to worry about the paint flaking. If it's been repainted or repaired especially by a sketchy body shop then you might be looking into all of the paint flaking off eventually. Just whatever you do ....DONT blast it with compressed air

Yeah, that part had the paint scraped off.

I plan to keep this car as long as possible and I'm sure in 10 years this will be the last thing I care about.

Yeah thinner won't help if paint is gone. It works when paint is transfered from hittie to hitter.

Garage List
What is the condition of the whole car? If your whole car is scuffed up as your front bumper, I wouldn't bother. However, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume all is good so just have your bumper repainted by a body shop.

It's just that part, all of the rest of the car is clean.

All that scuffle is from today.

Why did you try and squeeze in to a tight spot next to your mom? Apron string too short? If so, worry less about the paint and more about why you would put yourself in that position to begin with.
