Don't pay for the BMW ins. if Paragon provides you coverage in your state. I've had 2 claims w/them so far (within the first mth of signing up) and they are a no-hassle company. It's worth it for $30/yr. They cover upto $350 per wheel which is enough to cover most, if not all, the cost of a new tire + install. The BMW ins. at $600+ is a rip off in light of Paragon IMO.

That wouldn't cover one wheel and tire!

Tire & Wheel Automobile Advantage membership protects you with up to $20.00 per occurrence to repair your tire when you get a flat tire due to a road hazard.

If the tire is beyond repair you may replace the tire with a brand new one, up to $350 per occurrence. Also provides $350 for wheel replacement. Maximum benefit for membership term is $1400.

I personally think its worth every penny. if you live in somewhere like MA where the roads just cant get any worse, its definitely worth it. the insurance i have covers wheels and tires and changing those RFT's at the dealership costs $422 (thats wat they charged the insurance company). If you planning to get rid of the RFT's or buy a new set wheels then dont bother. but if you planning to stick with the stock wheels and tires then i say its worth it

This sounds like the deal I have, offered from the BMW dealer. They quoted me $500 and I haggled to $350 I think.
The awesome thing about the program is that is covers WHAT EVER tire OR rim is on the car. If your have snows on, it covers them, if you put after market tires on, covers them, up to the $$ limit, but then you have WAY made up for spending $350.

Can i get the name of this insurance company? I am just skeptical of going to the dealership for tires. Only because i know that they'll rip me off big time. When i had my benz, i almost went broke going to them. After finding an independent mechanic, the cost to maintain a benz was comparable to a honda..Geez how about that.

Here is a good read. It made up my mind. Insurance is a numbers game.

They arent going to follow through on a deal like this unless they are going to make money on it in the long run.
