What about the fact that fuels/fuel levels etc may have been different when you guys raced after DP's. Also it depends very much on the rpm you start the race from. A car with 3" catless DP's may well show significant gains if you start racing from 2500rpm. I'm not saying that was the case, just there are lots of factors when 2 sets of different cars race.
I agree with you... but at the time we were the same minus the DP's which had a 2 inch head on them.

Both Sedans, both 6speed, i had 32lbs each without tires 19inch wheels, he had 18inch wheels, im fully loaded with every option, he is baseline, both procede 1.47, both exhaust (if you want to call mine an exhaust)...and both started same gear at same exact speed!

i mean really it can get any better on a comparsent to see if DP's work or not than that..

my arguement is DP's help, not that sherwin beat so and so because of DP's

Sherwin beats people because his car is a monster with v2.0 and his mods and power...

Sounds like there's just no way to settle the battle of the tuners. Looks like SSTT, AA, Black Box and just about everybody else are bench warmers.

Fair enough. But maybe your brand of DP with your design works. MAybe a DP with a different design and with catts may not be as good. I'm not trying to knock any DP manufacturers BTW. Just a thought.

I disagree with your interpretation of the data, which is clearly as biased as you think mine is.

Don't know if you boys remember, but I was part of the LA dyno day with shiv and I was the one where he put a few gallons of race gas into my tank as my car was running lower HP than everyone else.
I remember you.
Your car was the car immediately before mine.
You have a coupe.
And you had a bad batch of Mobil gas.

Stock you were like 250 rwhp right?
You got like 303 rwhp with the PROcede on the bad batch of gas and with a gallon or so 100 Octane in it jumped to like 315 right away.

Good to hear you are still around.

I don't stand to make a dime if Shiv sells another unit. Do you stand to lose anything now that we've shown that V2.02 is better than the product that you sell?

But ignore my interpretation, rely on the interpretation of the person who did the original test.

I personally think your downpipe hatred is centered around your own dyno numbers and the need to validate them.

As to whether v2.02 is better or worse than the JB2R, it isn't really for me to decide. I think when you look at all the factors including performance, reliability, cost, availability, and support, that the JB2(R) is very competitive. You can pick on just the performance aspect with this one race, but I could point to say another single event (like maxboosts track times) and draw a different conclusion. Isn't it best to wait for a larger sample of results first?
