Met up with Rob and got my RB's (pics)

I am about 30 mins from RB-turbo and met up with Rob to get my Rb turbos and man are these things impressive....almost to pretty to install. I must also say that the man making these turbos is a one of a kinf guy and takes pride in his work....very evident after talking to him.

I may try to install these (I have nothing but time so....) LOL!! Still researching!

Here are some pics:

Car should already be FBO before upgrading your turbos. Engine is fine, just make sure you have a tune that supports aftermarket turbos. An MT will eventually need a clutch upgrade & an AT will probably need an overhaul once it starts to slip

We found over the weekend that the AT's with the additional torque start having torque related shift issues 4th to 5th at WOT. Not sure if it's the converter, but I'm looking for a 335d converter. Also want to research the option of going with a ZF26 as a replacement for the ZF19. It's worth looking into.

Sounds like an option, I would say contact LostMarine who did the Level10 Tranny upgrade & had RBs that he tracked regularly. But he's over on the "other" forum

Thanks Rob. Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't make issue with the DPs. I know my dealer said they wouldn't honor turbos because I have DP's, but I'm not worried because I plan on upgrades anyway. Just hope they hold up until I can replace them.

Is it possible to upgrade ZF19 to ZF26 by changing the internals?
