Good catch...I never liked the LCI side mirrors because it's boxy & it looks like an SUV side mirror. So, i replaced it with pre-LCI which I find more sporty in shape.

So what tools would you recommend to a first timer? Is there a detailed guide on the prep process for cleaning each panel?

A little late to the party, but oh well. This is the car that started wrapping for me. It was my very first full vehicle wrap and took like 25 hours to complete Anyways, I drove this car wrapped for almost 3 years in the second worst UV rated city in the nation. It's Hexis vinyl and held up really well for a daily driven car that I really didn't treat the best. Just sold it still wrapped in orange a month or so ago to get into the E90 I have now. Still trying to decide If I will wrap the BMW or leave it AW. I really like the AW but there are so many new cool colors out in vinyl lately. Time will tell. For those that posted pics of your projects on here, great jobs. Most don't realize what kind of talent and patience it truly takes to do this right.
here's how i picked her up and here's a rundown from beginning of the wrap until it was finished |

no offense but I don't know why people like matte black. As my gf puts it: "looks like a big black unfinished blob". To each their own.

Well, my Black car always gets dirty easily & swirl marks ruins the clear coat. I did it because I hate washing my car, now I only need to wipe the dirt & dust away with dry cloth (no more swirl marks worry).
At first, I thought a made a big mistake doing it. I didn't like it because it looks like unfinished paint job & it attracts fingerprint oils. Until I saw a frozen black M3 & gave me an idea to give the surface a little shine with wax. Now, I like it a lot than it was before. Wax made a big difference & made it look cleaner than just plain black matte.

quick question for you guys, this weekend I was parked under the sun for a while and the car got real hot inside, when I got back inside the car the corners of the wrap were all wrinkled! I guess it makes sense since the vinyl stretches when it's heated but how do you prevent this from happening when the inside of your car gets hot? I need to redo my trim now
