New guy from CO

Hey All,

Been lurking around this forum for a while; did some researching and posting when my dad first bought his '08 535xi. Now that I have my own, figured I'd get more involved and share some knowledge, but more importantly - learn! I'm in the Broomfield/Boulder area.

I have a 2012 E92 M-Sport. I just "applied" for the BMW group on facebook so hopefully I'll be able to meet up with you fellas at some juncture this summer!

Right on! Mind if I ask what you do?

I was at a marketing firm in Boulder but left to focus on the last semester of school, got a little too intense to be working 50hrs a week and being a full time student. I was having to share my homework time with more work items and my school was suffering.

Peter Pan really had it all figured out, if I'm being honest.

Again? Dang! What are your degrees in?

My sister completed two degrees in the time it took me to do one, whoops!

I went to school in Colorado Springs for Mechanical Engineering.

I have been working at a research and development facility for a company that does industrial finishing. So we work on spray guns, fluid pumps, and general fluid handling like regulators, filters, etc. I have been involved in the plural component paints and an (entry level) electronic mixing machine that allows materials to be mixed at different ratios, say 1:1 or 50:1 like what would be used in wood finishing operations. I have been commuting 90 miles a day for the past 20 months (in my e28 535i) and got hired full time at the start of this year.

Oh, and I do a lot of planning for Drive 4 Corners BMW Meet to keep me sane...I'm excited for this year.

Heck yeah, that's awesome! Gotta love it when the hard work pays off! It's all about having hobbies to occupy and offset the insanity of life. Which is why we're all here, ha.

PS. I just did a little more in depth reading on the 4 corners event and realized it's in Pagosa Springs. Love it! They were one of my clients at the firm.

I know how you feel, I have 4 sets of wheels without tires right now

But soon enough i'll have a place, I hope. The only problem is if you find space to put stuff, you will fill it too!
