Decisions, decisions.
+1 on all of that... things were so much easier in my 350z with 5 speakers :/

I did not take your comment as complaining, I was trying to explain that it takes a long time to get things like this developed and implemented. I thought that it was going to be quick and simple, but even getting the wires with my specs is not that quick or simple.

Believe me... I want to start selling this sucker up as soon as possible...

Line output converters can be added to the harness by custom order at extra cost.

This harness function is to completely replace the OEM amp, it cannot be used to complement the OEM amp with an aftermarket amp (as in, installing a sub/amp while keeping the OEM amp). The harness also cannot be modified in any way to drive the main power or ground of any aftermarket amplifier. Amplifier main power and ground connections are still required to be made directly to the battery.
Hi,
wondering if the package will work for us without amp. I have 2009 323i which doesn't have amp. HU powers the speakers but in process of upgrading to add 6 channel amp.

I should have a PnP harness that can help with the non-amp systems soon as well.

Connector supplier ended up being a fraud after two months of waiting for the product so it will take some time to find a real supplier at the right price.

It has to be produced though, as my kitchen is full of parts waiting for this sucker to show up and paid for.

Here is some picture of the adapter I made. It’s including RCA out and speaker wiring to all the speakers including the SUB. I also use a blue cable for Remote on. I’ve installed it on a BMW E91 with an Alpine PDX-5 and Earthquake SWS-8 sub. The installation was very easy. I used a 4 gauge cable from battery and ground cable. Everything else is connected by this adapter. Some people have complained about hiss for the PDX-5 amp. I can’t hear any hiss at all and I must say that the PDX-5 is working great in this setup. The next step would be to upgrade the OEM 4” midrange and tweeters

Yes, there are plenty of used E46 amps on eBay that can be used to get that connector. Tyco still is not selling it separately.

By the way, E6X produced after 2009 has the same connector on the hifi packet (option code 676) so when you Technic's has the connector/adapter ready, it would most likely fit on the E6X. I done an Earthquake sub upgrade on an E61 I few days ago, and the connector and wiring looks the same.

I bought a fully working E46 Harmon Kardon amp for about 80$. It’s quiet expensive when you only need the connector, but it’s the only way to get this part.

Anybody have the Specs on the e46 HK

I had that in my E46 and was wondering why I liked it better than the 10 speaker system in my e91. Because I could turn it up and it wouldn't distort and the Bass was better. Anybody have the Specs on the e46 HK Amp?

I understand that wire colors going into the amp harness sometimes differ. Does anyone know of a reference map for location of wires per connector location on HiFi system? I searched and searched but couldn't find one
