Hi Guys,
I got a preowned e90 325i lci, the interior has burr walnut trim with saddle brown seats, the wooden trim near the center console has swirl marks which can be seen when the interior light is switched on. Is there a way i can minimize the marks? any cleaner you guys recommend?

I use Menzerna PO85RD for my wood trim. It comes out nice but I feel it's filling I the scratches more than its removing them. Either way it'll help

As suggested Menz 85 or any finishing polish will work fine, if your OCD about it try Novus 1 & 2

hmmn, is the burr walnut trim real wood or just imitation? sorry for the newbie question this is my first bmw.

Just use a orbital porter cable and a an orange or white pad with a mild abrasive polish and just do a couple runs, then wipe/check and keep repeating. It is simply clear coated wood so treat clear coat like you would on your car only keep in mind it is a thin coat of clear so only make a couple passes at a time

Hi guys,
I can't take the swirl marks on the burr walbut trim anymore, i don't mind going for some aggressive polish to try & get the new look again. Can anyone recommend me a nice polish to get the swirls out with the link? i tried the above one but cant seem to find them on ebay.

showed the car to a local detailer & he said the trim has to be removed & polished and lacquered, is that the right way? some precautions i should take?

... i see you are india based ... try to get your hands on some meguiars
m205 or any high quality polish localy obtained ... use a microfifer towel to apply ...

and no you do not have to remove your trim unless your have "deep scratches" in the clear-coat of your trim and want them to be re-laquerd

hi guys,
I just got my centre console polished by a local detailer, he refused to remove the trim & do it as he was abit afraid of the clips breaking, so did it witht he trim on & masked tape the knobs etc, what you think of the job?

Bhae mere,upgrade your trim,cover with Carbon fiber cloth..no swirls after
