Fair price on new 2008 335i: sport/heated seats
2008 - new
Sedan Black on tan Sport Heated Seats 6 spd $43,750 sticker The dealer still has this on their lot in late January 2009. They state their cost is $40,500 and this is the best they can sell for. It seems BMW would give them backend money for moving a previous-year car sitting on their lot. Would $37,500 be realistic? Last edited by acecars; 01-29-2009 at 10:52 AM.. |

I got one at invoice in December and leased it. You'll be able to get a killer MF factor and such but they most likely won't knock anymore off the cost of the vehicle.

Ask them if they will take $37,500. If they say no, you can try shopping around and finding a better price. Likely though, $40,500 is the lowest they will go, which is why its still sitting on the lot.

Offer 37500 and tell them to call you when they're ready to deal. At a certain point, I'll bet they take the loss to get it off the lot.

3200 off is not a good deal today. Some of us got $1700 off coupes when the coupe was only out 2 1/2 mos and none on the lots. That was in 2k6 when the economy was gonna boom for another 10 mos. So after all we've been through, incl home values going down, 401ks, our portfolios, that dealer is gonna just give another $1500 off off a 2k7 coupe's discount, on a sedan that lists for 43k? That's funnier than Seinfeld.

Mine is almost exact same as yours... except I have IPOD/USB but no heated seat... my sticker is 43700... I got it at 38000 before tax... This was last Oct 2008... with 0.9% APR
I think you should offer no more than 37.5 K...

You should know that from now till February 2nd you also get $1500 reduction on 3 series cars that you buy from a dealer's lot. So, tell them to lower the price by an addition $1500

Isn't that only if you finance the car? Could the car be financed, then paid off immediately in full? And does it apply to used 3 series on dealer lots? |

I believe you have to carry the financing for 3 months before you pay it off if you go though BMWFS
