LUX 5.1 vs LUX V2 for LCI Halogen lights - Picture comparison

Since I took pictures I might as well share.

I changed out my LUX 5.1 recently as one side went bad after 6 years. I'm not sure how relevant it is since 5.1 isn't even being sold any more and especially since the LUX V2 won't fit on ZKW LCI halogen lights. I was switching the headlights out anyone with new ones to clean up the front. The new LCI headlights are manufactured by Valeo.

I do not like the solder job that was done on the new LUX V2 module. One of the soldering joints broke right off, as seen in the first picture. I ended up fixing that on my own. I won't begin to explain how that needed to be fixed.

Hey sorry that one of these tabs came off when installing it! I'm glad you were able to fix it, otherwise we could have fixed that at no cost to you as well.

I wish the 5.1 was still available.

I have the V2 on my wife's E90 LCI and it's VERY disappointing. The color is far more yellowish-greenish, exactly as your pictures show.

I understand that LUX wanted to match the angel-eyes to the halogen low-beam bulbs, but somehow didn't think that people may upgrade to superwhite low-beam bulbs (as I have) and that it would look like crap.

I wonder if anyone else is selling a true super-white LED angel-eye bulb for the E90 LCI halogen.
