Okay thanks, if I get really bored or sick of the little imperfections I'll give it another go.

That video makes me jealous though, it came out flawless and effortless!

You can see the gap here

So you are saying I should not tape up to the trim or underneath it and instead leave a space from the edge od the tape to the edge of the trim?

Check **********s for the good quality ones. Here's how they look on my BW. I think they would be awesome on space grey.

Stealth auto, **********s, Bimmian (?)

If VA has state inspections like PA does don't go with painted reflectors.

BTW, should I leave those yellow side reflectors as-is? The quarter moon shaped yellow reflectors on the fenders above the tires, do you guys plastidip them or something?
Thanks for the pic. Not s huge fan of the black mesh grille. I think black mesh grille comes standard on the 328, and the 335s come color coded.

Incorrect on both.

They both come with silver trim.

My 335 came with chrome kidney grills and silver meshes, not color coded.

OP, congrats on the mod. That was my first as well. I ordered 45$ matte black kidneys, and used plastidip to do the lower grills. Easy and cheap!

Then the AlpineMSS Angel eyes, which are awesome! Highly recommend them!

That's why it was painted silver, or space grey. If it was a 328, it would not have been painted.

Black Kidney Grills - DONE
Black Window Trims - DONE
Debaged - DONE

Quick question guys, will the golf tee mod have any detriment effects on the car? I hear so many stories about it reducing low end torque and stuff like that. If this is false, then I will go ahead and do it.

Looks good! How did you end up doing the window trim?

Golf Tee mod is fine, just do the trunk unplug. Less backpressure= better, i think.

I taped up the trim but granted this was my very first try at plastidipping it, I think it could be better. The texture is sort of dark grayish and grainy, due to me keeping the can too far from the trim. If I make up my mind, I will probably peel everything off and paint it again. The hardest or time consuming part actually is the taping.

Make sure you leave at least 3/4" to 1" gap between the trim edge and tape edge. This way it will be much easier to peel it off and have a nice edge all the way around the trim.

As for the golf tee mod, doing the plug in the trunk route will throw a code. I would prefer to just do the regular tee mod.
