Nope, they have fuel pumps on all cars.

He was flagged - game over - right?

Fixed. Sorry, I meant to say, "are fuel pump failures more common on juiced cars?"

It makes sense to say they are...juiced car I belive shoudl have a higher fuel requirement...

Although, given their reliability, the HPFP could possibly fail even if my grandmother drove the car...

Don't they have an aftermarket fuel pump which would be better than the OE?

Very true! My uncle purchased a 335 a month after mine, and i can assure he probably has never taken the car to WOT and his fuel pump failed before mine did!

I just scanned my car yesterday and got a fuel pump plausablity code. I wonder if that because my fuel pump is going to shut down on me or because its the tuner code. Anyone know what the "tuner code" is?

Clear code bring car to ALL STOCK form. Even intakes and bring it back and play dumb.
I got my warranty back after it was flagged as aftermarket parts.
Fuel pumps have 100k warranty now.

BTW were u flagged by throwing the tuner code? Or were you flagged because u brought your car in to dealer with a tune?

If you just threw a code, im sure you can get your warranty back since its gonna be pretty much impossible to blame whatever to void your warranty. But if you had a tune in the car and brought to dealer you might have some more problems.

When i got the tuner code it stated 2d16 and there are few tuner codes.

2d16 Air flow manipulation. Mass airflow. Possible aftermarket piggyback bla bla on seperate sheet that describes the tuner codes.

I have seen similar description with different numbers at end. But most start with 2dxx

I haven't seen this code on my car... but Yea.. Vince. I have seen a weird fuel pump plausibility code on my car too... the current pump that's in there... (2nd one)... had long cranking when it was new.. but 15K miles since then have all been perfect... with the 3 stored plausibility codes being thrown in the last 1500 miles.... (but no physical symptoms.... ).. i just keep driving....

Damn that sucks dude. Sorry to hear that. Luckily, pumps are easy to come by these days, and I guess the process really isn't all that painful. You can take the pump off without taking the intake mani off.
