Just Dyno'd 370whp 392wtq
I just dyno'd on a proven Dynojet @ Tag Racecraft in Oakville, Ontario.
370WHP and 392WTQ, and it was a cool day out today. Mods: JB3 1.4 v8.2 (Map 7) Injen DCI AA Exhaust Code3 Intercooler My previous baseline on the same dyno.. Mods: JB3 1.4 v6 (Map 7) Injen DCI produced 318whp and 346wtq on a hot day So with the exhaust and intercooler, plus favorable (realistic) weather, I netted 52whp and 46wtq Pretty happy with the results. I am waiting on a STETT charge pipe with forge diverters, and I am ready to order a Meth kit, not sure on which on just yet. Oh, and off to the track tonight!

post up the graphs!
What CF was used? what was the temp out? how much boost does map 7 push? What octane? Do you have a baseline from a stock car on the same dyno? Last edited by jpsimon; 09-11-2009 at 04:19 PM.. |

Definitely will be over 420whp with meth and downpipes. My next mod is downpipes and I am definitely going with AR.

what are your stock numbers or with jus the jb3 turned off strange that with an intake on map 7 you only got 318 though or what you guys think shouldnt it be higher? that means map 3 is prob like only 300 which again would mean the jb3 with intake gave you prob 20 whp thats strange

Insane gains for just an IC and catback! Obviously ambient temps played a role too, but I wonder how much of a role the JB3 map update (v6 -> v7.1) played. What was the peak boost in each run?

To answer as many of the questions as I can.
Mike: Dyno @ Tag has some large fans plus a dedicated fan for the intercooler. JPSimpson: My baseline was done on a dyno locally and the numbers were way off. I did a Map 3 pull on this dyno when I did the Map 7 318Whp run and it pulled 292whp. Peak boost on map 7 is 17.5 warm to 18.7 cold, and holds about 15lbs. Sunoco 94 Octane. I will get the data together tomorrow and post. Temp was 68 Degrees F. I was at the track tonight and ran a 12.62@110MPH

I'm in the Alberta area right now. The weather is gorgeous....but in the morning it was pretty cold. Ice was covering the whole deck area. But at 5000+ ft elevation I'm sure performance would suffer.

still i feel like you got maybe 10 whp gain over stock by raising 6 psi!!!! even on a hot day that is very bad. thats also assuming the intake gave you 0!!!!
