Impulse bought a 535 gt

LOL walked in to get oil filter cap loosened cause someone torqued it on too tight so i couldnt take it off when i was doing my own oil change on the 335is.

Ended up walking out with a 535 GT with a 8,450$ discount.

Hope i wont have to create a ultranoob car destoryed thread when i pick it up on Saturday.

Congrats.

Maybe they torqued it too tight so you would return......

not surprising you got such a nice discount. it's the ugliest vehicle BMW has ever produced.

Everybody will have their own opinions,
me on the other hand, I love the slope of the rear end,
love the utility, X drive, not as big as my X5, but.... bigger than 5 series.
I don't think it is a best seller for BMW, but they wanted to compete with AUDI which is inching slowly and taking Merc and BMW customers to them.
Nevertheless, I think the car has all the things and more than its competitors, looks are the way they are you either LOVE or hate it, just like the previous 5 series.
I love this car for the looks of it...

congrats on your buy. You should have gotten the 550GT with the new valvetronic version engine. 450hp

I guess you are keeping the 335is for the weekend drive, GT for the DD.

My dealer (TC) could not give them away fast enough for the GT, extremely low volume car and the reasale value is very, very bad. Typically, residual is around 40% after 3 yrs, compared to 50% after 3 yrs for the 535 sedan.

I have to agree Its the ugliest thing BMW has ever designed. But thats just personal opinion. To each their own.

I wish I could buy a second car. I was looking at picking up an old X5 for the winter, but have not pulled the trigger just yet.

Is $8450 discount really that great of a deal? Did you have to pay pdi/freight on top?

Just asking because I got just over $7k off on my 335d and I didn't pay pdi or freight.

Can't say congrats...that's one fugly car LOL

No offense, it's a horribly ugly car. It's by far the weakest in
BMW's lineup IMO.

This is the OP.

Tires and gas are killing me! Tires are costing me at least 1 grand every year expected. My annual expectation for gas consumption is at $5840!! Even that is a conservative number! (Fill up every 5 days at $80 per tank (91 premium) / 365 days)

I'm just sayin'
