Scrolling with the iDrive
Hi,
I have a quick q, when i am in the phonebook, or running down the navigation POIs etc the screen only shows 5 options (eg a1, a2, a3...) but I am sure there are more (eg a4, a5...) as I cannot get all the contacts in the phonebook, but they are definately there because they appear on voice dialling and there are arrows up and down on the side of the selected screen. When I get to the end of the 5 displayed options how do i continue down, as the iDrive seems to stop rotating clockwise... I am not sure that that made reasonable sense...it is 2am!!! Thank you for the help!! |

This is normal. It's stupid, but it's normal. You have to give it so much pressure to scroll off the screen that it feels like it's breaking. It's not.

Its a "haptic" interface. Similar to rumble packs for video games it gives force feedback so you can potentially control the interface with out even looking.
This really shines when you get used to the order of your preset radio stations. You can switch back and forth without even looking and also know when you get to the end of the list. |
