Yeah, I am loving the Clio's at the moment, really hoping the season goes well next year. Should be fun.
I have been hankering after an R27 myself. If I ever change jobs I would consider having the car allowance and getting one of these for myself (wife has a Bora so that's big enough for family holidays and carting the kids around).

Can you use the R27 as an everyday car, or is it too track focused?

That depends, if you think any BMW rides hard, then the Clio is that bit worse. If you think your BMW is fine, then the Clio will work everyday.

I would have been perfectly happy driving around in mine everyday, but it is LHD and can be a pain on motorways, as at 80mph your pulling 4500rpm.
Round town it is perfect, and for a B-road blast it can't be beaten for fun factor.

No, I race it....a son!!!, I am only 23.

Didn't do the Championship in Clio's this year. Did the winter series, but the less said about that the better. Only did the Britcar 24hr race this year in a Honda, and some other races in the Clio. Mostly spent the year testing in order to hit the ground running for the season proper next year.

LOL, silly me. Did you compete in Karting beforehand?

I wont ask about the winter series then...

Nope, done no karting.

Winter series, problems with the car and also with me.

Going from endurance racing, which is all I have done, to sprint means I have alot to learn.

Also, brakes were not right, kept on locking and pushing me wide after turn in. Turns out the fronts were holding pressure some how, and not releasing. Only found this out after the series finished.

Finished 6th out of 12, so not a total loss, but should have done much better.

Nice one, good luck with next season, i used to be a seasoned Karter back in the day (stopped in 2001) with success. Enjoyed it loads, but was costing too much and my father was paying for it all.

I would like in the future to start racing again, whether it be karts or cars/sinlge seaters!

Which endurance racing were you doing? How many years now have you been competing?

European Endurance Racing Club (Britcar, S1 etc)

Did three 24hr races at Silverstone, during my 4 years in Honda Civic's etc. Competed in anything from 2 hour races to 24hr. Great fun, but fancied Clio's as the next step towards BTCC. Need to sort some funding first though, as this sport definitely aint cheap!

I know chap, bloody expensive is Motorsport. Does your Father/Family help funding at the moment or do you pay for it yourself?

Nope, its a free for all, with everyone chipping in!

Desperately seeking a sponsor for next year at the moment, but that isn't easy either.

Like the white - I wasn't sure it white would look good, but it does. First one I've seen.

Love the plate!

Looks good in AW.

Those Clios are great - I have loved them at the Palmersport days I have been on. Good luck for next year.
