I'm just busting your balls. You have to admit, those things are HEAVY though. My old Range Rover was around 5500 pounds but it looked like 3 tons rolling down the road. Given how small the e93 looks, the weight is kind of shocking though.
My wife has her eye on the new RS5 which is in that same weight class but without a folding hardtop. How in the hell is that thing so heavy!? |

Nice choice for her! I have an E92 loaner for the moment and I definitely feel the difference. It is mystifying to me too- maybe for safety's sake? Who knows... |

Yea the 335i vert and the rs5 are basically the same weight. The bmw might be 50 lbs lighter. The rs5 has a load more power and sporty bits though. The higher the torque the less weight matters and the more traction plays a part in 2wd cars. I originally shopped for an RS4 but the maintenance costs and mpg were just stupid. The 335i is a better all arounder for the money and more tunable.

LOL...epic. I have a RWD. Meh, no mention of JUST the car's weight (2011 335 convertible, fully loaded, with 19" summers and 18" winters and AT).
Eh, not that important. Last edited by Dark_Knight_335; 12-20-2012 at 05:42 PM.. |
