Additional Lights in Kidney Grilles

Hey guys I recently added additional lighting to my e92 to make up for my tinted headlights(stupid I know) in scenarios when I'd use my high beams since with the tints they do almost nothing. Here's some pics of the results, would love to hear some feedback even though I know a lot of it will be hate lol.

Not my style, but could be good functionally. Looks like it's a pretty clean install.

Functionality wise it’s good. Could’ve put it on the bottom fogs (or beside) so it doesn’t look out of place

Hopefully those grill lights actuate only when high beams commanded on.

They have their own switch, that would be nice.

Baja Racer comes to mind, I would not do it or be prepared for oncoming traffic to flash you.

I live in fairly rural northeast so I only use them when there is no on coming traffic and there's no street lights.

Use a relay where the trigger is from the high beam leads. Probably a 4 pin relay would do it. You'd have to do a "T" off of the high beam leads and the other two leads would go to the kidney grill lights. Go learn on HIDplanet.com or google 4 pin relay. Good luck.

That looks like a great solution. Very clean, and when used on rural roads it'll give you the visibility you need! I like it.

How big are the lights? Does it obstruct the airflow to the radiator? It looks like BMW put some effort into the design of the kidneys, ducting the air to the radiator. I'd be concerned that it would reduce flow and result in a hotter running engine during hot weather.

What product did you use?

What do the grills look like with the lights off in daylight?

Pics of the install?

They're just cheap eBay lights, here's the kit I went with because they came with a harness and switch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-4-inch-2...-127632-2357-0

I don't have any pics from when I installed them but my bumper is off right now to replace my oil cooler so I'll take some pics and get back to you so you can see how I did it. Here's what the car looks like in daylight with them off:
