K&N oil filter

The dealer wants $25 for the oil filter, and the K&N filter is only $14 on sale. Has anyone tried the K&N oil filter (I did a search, but there wasn't much info), and am I better off just getting the filter at the dealer? Thanks. Note: I just found a Mann filter kit for $16, which I believe I have seen mentioned around this site before, maybe that's the best way to go.

I have used them all, bmw, mann (i think thats who supplies bmw) and k&n. I have noticed no difference in any of them, all top quality IMO.

Can't go wrong with MANN.
