Bottom engine cover damage
Hi all,
I got a little bit too close to the curb at work today and when reversing back I heard a loud scrape. Looked at the front and the bottom engine cover is gubbed. Any ideas how much this might cost to get fixed at bmw in glasgow? Last edited by tom619; 11-27-2014 at 07:35 AM.. |

If I recall the little down flap is a separate item to the under tray. If its ripped out you might need to get a new part but it should just clip back in. Or you could just be case of few new pins to put in back in place. You might need to trawl through realoem to find the bit. Had a quick look but coudl not find the section for undertrays

Manage to push everything back into place but now it's a wee bit flappy and loose. Hopefully it should be okay for now.
Funny thing is I went to Mitchell inglis after work just to see what they thought and the guy goes it'll be a new bumper! Can't wait till he gets back to me with the quote lol |

Another stealer rip off. Once you get some dry weather get under the car and have a good look I managed to catch my flap on the e90 many times and only had to replace the push pins. You should be fine and even if torn its flexible plastic pop it all off few strong black cable ties and you done no need for new bumper and you want be able to tell
