so i got a service engine soon light on couple days ago, went to autozone to check the code, they said it is code 128, something to do with coolant or thermostat. car is 07 335i with 45k miles, drives and feels normal after the light on. should i take it to shop to get them check? anyone got the same code when their thermostat fail or coolant low?

I had a bad thermostat, but I don't know what the code was. Went to a friends shop and he just told me the problem. Just by chance when I was looking for something else. Stupid that we don't have coolant temp gauge when it seems we have a water pump problem.

figure out the problem, the code is actually p0128, gonna have a shop check whether the coolant is low (which i dont think is the case, no leak noticeable and car still at 45k miles) or the thermostat is stuck open .
