How long did the install take? Did the installers learn any tricks that can help later? Did they also align the car on their rack? I'm considering a set of shocks, springs and front sway bar in the future.

They learned a lot. Barry did the install. They don't have too much BMW experience, though he said he had done the shocks on an e90 before. It took all day- 9:45 to 5:00, with about an hour for lunch. So about 6 hrs. I was plannng on the alignment, but we ran out of time. The front is towed out big time, so I am headed in in the am for the alignment.

Next time they will be quicker, but it takes more than an hr per corner. I have a full write up on the XI page-

Anybody recommend a good dealership in the dfw area...my e90 is starting to get on my nerves w/ the squeeling comming from the rear wheels when taking off until approx 15-20mph. I know from other threads I've read theres really no fix for this? I know last time I took my car into Moritz in Arlington and they said it was the "gas pedal"!! So needless to say I don't to ever take my car back there.

Thanks!!

I have officially sold my soul to Cobb. Now I just have to wait for 2007 support

PS. If you are looking into Cobb, I'd suggest checking out **********'s. Got no love locally...

What made you switch to Cobb?? Visnu has been supporting 335i's from the beginning.... Cobb is just starting out and still needs time to learn our cars.. I had the Cobb AccessPort on my STi with a protune..... its was great and I know they will be good once they perfect the maps.. but why switch now and not wait until later in the year once they have perfected it...

He asked me not to quote it publicly so I will respect that. I will just say that in general though, if you order from a vendor you don't have to pay tax which right off the bat saves you $74. You have to call Alan************ for the price.

Honestly I was very 50/50 and still am. I was just being lazy about taking my tune on/off the car and I didn't want to take anymore hit to the resale value of my procede. I sold it for a good price, and only lost around $100. I'm always someone that likes to test new things too...and the Cobb AP is almost like a new gadget. Who knows, maybe I'll end up selling it again later and going back to PROcede. Both are awesome tunes IMO.

I'm like you - I'm a gadget guy. Now that I've had the car for a year or so, I know exactly what I want out of a tune, and the AP suits my needs exactly. I also like the fact that they're local.

The Dinan has been good for me, and it's tied to my vin for the life of the car. I can always put it back on if I remove it.

I'm in. Friday night works best-- Saturday is usually too crowded and parts of the show can close early on Sunday.
