E92 Seatbelt Extender Diagram

Does anyone know where I can find a mechanical diagram of the seatbelt extender? Mine flips open too late and misses the belt, the dealer told me it was the "motor" and costs $800 for a new one.

It feels like a spring or something simple is broken/stuck and preventing it from opening on time, I think I could fix it myself if I can just find a diagram of it.

Thanks in advance.

$800? Shouldn't your car still be under warranty? Or do they not cover the seat belt extender in the warranty. I'm currently having issue where it is not grabbing the belt at all. And like you said it just seems like a spring issue. I'm taking my car in this Friday to try to get it fixed and hopefully it's covered under the warranty. I too have an 07 335i.

Mine's stopped grabbing 90% of the time too.

Told it would be replaced under warranty and sometimes they replace the arm ans also the seatbelt.

I have a seatbelt extender problem as well but mine is a bit different. My seatbelt does not remain rigid enough for the extender to hook onto it. The results is a seatbelt that essentially slips off the hook at contact. I believe the seatbelt itself is "creased" at a point where it folds in when the extender makes contact with it.

pull fuse # 25. It operates the extender only.
