Now THAT is a rare 335d, my friends.
Wow, that is one nice e91. Not a fan of the M badge or the black and white emblems. But still, that was in bad shape to begin with, great build.

On a similar "poser" note. I find it funny how many people who have the M-Sport package say the drive a 335(i/xi/d) M-sport. Seriously, it is just a optional package. That would be like me saying I drive a BMW "335d CWP", because it has the Cold Weather Package.

...discretely check sig...ok, not there!...phew...

I have no problem with calling your car an m-sport. It is one. And were we in a parking lot and I was looking for your car, I could pick it out based on that. There are a number of folks who list out every package in their sig (ZSP, CWP, ETC, ETC), and even more who say 3xx ZSP or 3xx with he sport package...no issues their either. With that said, I agree with you on the m3 badging. I believe it should be left for actual m3s, and I always get a laugh out of the folks who slap m badges on non m cars. With that said however, its their car and they could really stick a 240ZX emblem on their for all I care and I wouldn't feel it would be worth mentioning to them...they know what they've done

I've often thought about doing an m3 body conversion someday and replacing the sticker on he fender flares with a custom ///d but I'll never drop that kind of cash into the exterior (or so I say today).

Badging

All these zeros and ones zinging through the ether about badging...amazing. Some people think it's tacky to de-badge; some to "up-badge". Who cares? Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff.

I enjoy it. Just think, BMW made extra money off me for some different bumpers, wheels, and some badges!

Well me too actually. But not yet. First comes suspension, then maybe a tune. Then ARC-8 wheels and better tires. Then probably some black exhaust tips, black badge, and probably at least the M Sport front bumper and maybe the rear too.

So how does the D like Utah winters? And I bet it's fun to drive in the mountains in the summer too.

The car has been great. Only issue I've experienced is my snow tires just aren't lasting. I've made nearly four seasons on this model of tire and the new set is only at two needing replacement. Too much torque for the soft winter rubber.

Been there. Are you running snows or performance winters? My Blizzaks (performance) have about 7 mos and 23k on them and they still have maybe 7-8/32s. Are you seeing similar wear or faster?

They are performance snows. Dunlop Wintersport 3D.

Though I do have a confession of neglect, I forgot to tell the tire shop to rotate them front to back (I run square sizes on staggered wheels). So the rears have been on the rear for two and a half seasons. If I had them put on the front, they would have lasted longer. But the plus side is I will only need to buy new rears next season.

@Park2670 Still interested in selling your D? I know you said it's gonna be hard letting it go but if you're interested, PM me please. I saw a 335i in Lemans but I prefer the D

I have one too. LeMans blue. Took a while to find the right one and I would have waited a year to buy Park2670's. Luckily though I found one earlier. Great car, great gas mileage, great looks. Only the ///M3 looks better.

BTW - I just installed the LUX Angel Eyes yesterday. Looking at it now I don't know why I waited so long for them. Worth every penny...

Next will be a dieselspeed chip worth 333hp / 640Nm which should keep the stock 335i's at bay.

Thumbs up LUX right, stock left

I ended up with the LUX 5000k lights. I didn't want to over-due it. Below a picture that should show the difference. Please excuse the mess in the garage. Reminds me a little of those Husky dogs with one blue and one brown eye

Yeah the soft rubber snow tires spin so easily. They also allow for nice smokey burnouts!

@ Got Diesel:

how did you do that? On my "d" when I disable the T/C it does not really disable. It comes right back on after perhaps the rear wheels slip a quarter turn...

Perhaps you only hit the button a bit and it went into DTC mode - should have shown on the instrument panel. You need to hold for several seconds to totally disable TC/DSC.

Never thought a diesel would make me so happy. Just got my new 19" BBS CH wheels installed with Eibach Pro-Kit, it handles and rides better than stock. Nearly 40MPG on my 25 mile commute, streaming Pandora via Bluetooth. I love this car and can't stop talking about it.
Factory MSport wheels going to new owner this weekend.

Lux on right side of photo or car (which would be passenger side)?

Thanks much, will give it a try on the way home! Is that explained in the Manual (which BTW I never read)? Is there anything else I need to know about my car that I don't? Is there a button (or button combination) to disable the speed limiter or does that require an ECU mod?

ECU mod for speed limiter.

Manual for explanation(s).
