Squeaky Steering Wheel

Earlier this year I went to the dealer to fix my squeaky steering wheel. It was fixed... temporarily.. because now the squeak is back again and I don't want to pay $80 to get it fixed so I'm looking for a way to do it myself. Do you guys have any idea how to fix it?
Here are the notes on the last fix at the dealer:
"82582 Lower Steering Column Spindle rubber grommet dry and creaking
.70 R&I Lower Left Steering Column Cover and Lubricate Dry Rubber Grommet/ Metal Sleeve"
Can any decode this nosense and maybe show me a picture of the part they lubricated?
and for bonus points you could even show me how to get to that part to lubricate it...

Same prob here too. Sounds like a mouse or like a creaky wheel trying to turn.

I had the same exact issue for a while. Just recently, I adjusted the steering wheel, and the problem went away.

Works for awhile, but that fix won't last long.

Here's what I did that fixed it.
1. stick your face where your feet normally rest when driving
2. look up
3.pull off that cover (I don't remember how many plugs and screw there were)
4. Get a can of lubrication (with the little straw attachment)
5. grab a towel so the lube doesn't go all over the place.
6. shoot the lube inside the exposed part of the steering column and turn around the steering wheel to get it all lube'd
7. Cheer

Anyone have success with this procedure. Im out of warranty and dealer wants $1000000000 to fix, as usual.

Here someone shows how to lube:

It can also be the slip ring squeaking, mine was that. I removed it per instructions below. Then opened the slip ring up and added some more silicon lube to the parts that glide each other with wheel turn. Also redistributed the existing lube inside. It first reduced the squeak, then went away with weather warming up. If you take apart the slip ring, be careful to put it as the same turns it had when taken apart. If the wheels were straight when you took it out, it should be in the middle of its turn counts. It is not really a slip-ring, it actually has a ribbon cable that been coiled around the same number of loops as the steering wheel can turn. So if you loop it one more time to left and put it back like that, then when you turn the steering wheel full turn to left, this ribbon cable will tear off.

While the air bag was out, I also cleaned the horn contact points with contact cleaner spray. I had my horn not always working from when the car was new. Complained about it during warranty, they said they checked the contacts and all was good.... yeah right. Now it is working fine, finally. I guess the contacts had some dirt on them from assembly. But this is some other thing.
