possible to use paddles in "D"

I installed my dct paddles and they work but only when in "DS" mode. is it possible to change this? maybe attaching wires in a different to location just to throw out an idea.

My DCT paddle retrofit work in 'D' without any changes, but my car is an 09' - might be year specific...

They should work in any setting.

it seems like pre 07 builds had different programming. I researched this when I did a paddle shifter retro fit on my car.

I have an '07 and the paddles work differently in D vs. DS. In DS, once you start using them, it stays in manual mode. In D, I can change gears using the paddles, but it will go back to D in a few seconds if I don't continue to shift when using the paddles.

I think you can code it to shift in D, haven't tried it myself but my cable just came in today so I'll hopefully be able to try it by the weekend.

sounds encouraging! I ordered my cable last week and I'm going to attempt to code a few things I have been wanting to change. soon as I get my cable I will post an update on if it was successful or not. be patient as I haven't done it before and may take a few days to get it up and working. not sure if I can get the programs up and running properly as I heard it was pretty tricky.

Not tricky if you're running the software on an XP machine

I kept my old Dell XP laptop just for coding...
