He is wrong. Most just assume that is the case. The price is good, though. I suggest you find some successful specs from other e92 drivers and request those. Talk about a huge improvement to your driving experience.

I could never go back to factory specs on my car. That is for damn sure.

Doc, why are you needing an alignment already? I thought you and I had the same year cars. We should be around the same mileage too and Im not needing one.

You should take it to autobahn south, they will do a better job than Brian Harris. I know from experience.

The Plantation tire store owner refused to do the alignment saying it is best for BMW to align their cars. He gave up the job and the money so I think he is telling the truth. Define "successful specs" please b/c I am not following your suggestion.

If I have any hope of beating Phouc I will need to wait until it is at least 65 degrees outside. And since I weight 100 lbs more than Phouc, I need ideas on how I can make my Is 100 lbs lighter. (this should be good)

When you get four new tires you need an alignment.

He is misinformed. Tons of shop owners pass up business out of fear of screwing something up due to ignorance.

Successful Specs = alignment specifications that people have used and enjoy. For my case, I searched forums, until I found specs that multiple people tried and loved. Worked great for me, and my car is new animal because of it.

I wouldn't lead you down a bad path, Mike.

Haha an 1/8th of a tank of gas will do that or you can let me drive it. I like your thinking though, let's wait until a Sunday morning test and tune at State Capitol on a cool fall day. Mods can come after

Doc, go to Wedge Kyes / Autobahn South (performance/track division) for an alignment. They can do "special" set ups that are better than the factory specifications, which is what Clayton is talking about

Although its better for them to say they're not comfortable than to do it and mess it up big time!

Thanks for the info Clayton. I would think there would be only one ideal alignment setting for a particular tire set up. I mean,it's either aligned or it isn't. But now I know different

when I wanted to get my car aligned the places I went to said let bmw do it bc of the adaptive steering and needing to re calibrate the headlights. This might be the reason he suggested that...whether they say I can't do it b/c I don't want to mess anything up or I think the dealer can do better....I appreciate them no just trying to do it and mess something up.
