E92 CF V35-style hood - To paint or not to paint?

I just ordered the CF Vented hood from **********s from their black friday deal.. It should be coming in soon but im not sure if i should paint the hood first or just slap it on?

My car is Arctic Metallic and I have gloss black vinyl on the roof. Here's a previously taken pic of the front end so you can see the color.

I was never really into the different colored body parts but thinking maybe CF will look good... Tell me what you think

P.S. - New bumper and Aero lip en-route

It was my pleasure setting this up for you and I know that you're going to LOVE the hood! I'd say keep the hood unpainted and exposed in CF for now. You can always decide to paint it at a later point of time if it doesn't fit your style. Here's a close up of the CF weave for you to check out.

+1, it looks really good since you got that grey and black theme going on with the grille and roof. If seen lots of AW like this, but grey will look awesome too.

hmm i might just throw it on for a little bit - if i dont' like i could always take it off and get it painted..

what about rain? will water go through the vents? if so should i be worried abt driving in rain or no? (lol newb question)

Exactly, you'll save a bit more money initially if you keep the CF exposed and who knows you may just like the new aggressive style

The hood features open vents, so yes, rain can enter your engine bay. However, I do want to let you know that I've personally never run into any issues with rain and I have vented hoods on both my E46 and E92.
