Finally took some pics, would love some feedback !
Hey everyone, I've had my car and been on the forums for just about a month now and finally got a chance to make some mods and take some pictures. Its a 2009 E90 335i in Black Sapphire Metallic with Premium and Sport package. I got it completely stock with 50K on it and very well taken care of: all services, updates and recalls taken care of on time. So far I've just updated front bumper to M3 style and blacked out rims, grilles, and badges (Plasti dip). I'd welcome and appreciate any feedback/ideas. Which brings me to my next thing, my next mod will be getting spacers to give the stance a more aggressive look to fit the look of the car. Does anyone have any recommendations for the spacer size, keep in mind I will not be modifying the suspension. My initial thought was 15mm in the front and 18mm in the back, but I really don't know much about them so I would love some help. Thanks for taking a look ! I know i'm probably gonna get some flack for the "M" badge on the back, but that's one of the reasons I decided to do it. Also, since I have the sport package and am going for and "M" look with the M3 front and in the future the M Sport rear, I decided to make this my version of what a 335M would look like. Hate it or love it, I think I did it tastefully with keeping the 335 badging and blacking everything out, the colored stripes make it pop a bit IMO...Anyway, thanks again.

What's the fascination w/ these M badges on a non M car? I just don't get it... Would look much cleaner debadged completely, but to each his own. No performance mods, no suspesion/handling mods... fake m3 bumper, and spray painted stock rims... If that's your iteration of a "M", well, different strokes for different folks.

M3 front rep looks good! I'd second the MSport rear bumper and a carbon BMW performance rear spoiler would give it a good altogether look! Even a lip for the front end. But as she stands looks great!!
I'd recommend 12mm front 15mm rear you may be able to push 17mm in the rear depends on the width of your rim/tire, if it's lowered or not. I'd suggest place a long piece of wood on the face of your rear rim flat, up to the fender at the top then you can use that to measure how much space you got and use that to determine what's best for your set up. I like seeing M3 reps on the LCI I don't see many of them, more so on the pre-lci as I'm in the middle of deciding between M3 rep front or 1M rep for my LCI.

5/10, would walk away.
1. that ///M badge on a non-m car. It doesn't even look like an OEM ///M badge too. 2. the black on black on black look (murdered out, blacked out) look is not my taste. They always end up looking like a big blob. I like contrast in color so things stand out. Please don't take offense to what I've said. You asked for our opinion and I gave you mine. Other than that, clean m3 rep front.

That badge doesn't even match the numbers... And just measure the gap between your fender and the tire to figure out the spacer size.

However, i can't encourage you enough to upgrade your suspension. There are a lot of great coilovers (or performance suspension bits) out there, and if your car has 50k miles, it wouldn't be unwise to upgrade suspension bits. I changed out my suspension at roughly 80k miles, to ST coilovers (same internals as KWv1, but galvanized steel housing instead of stainless steel), and I couldn't be happier w/ the results. Not to stiff, but definitely confident around corners at good speed. I agree with you on the n54/n55's performance. You really don't need to touch it. But, little mods like intake/exhaust, def helps the car breathe better. IN your case, since you're going for that aggressive look, a change in exhaust tone and what not will help set the car off nicely. I actually like the murdered out look. As a matter of fact, I did that to my wife's suv lol.

1. Take the M badge off, please.
2. Get the carbon fiber white and black emblems IF you want (a small change) 3. Get some angel eyes if you want (i think you have xenon headlights so just search a bit on those on google or on the forum) 4. Get a carbon fiber lip for your M3 front bumper: http://www.rwcarbon.com/bmw-e90-e91-...le-bumper.html 5. Get a M-tech rear bumper if you want it to have a more aggressive look I would do these in order from which I listed! This is just my opinion. Also I love the murdered out look! |

If you truly do want that badge, i think the e46 m3 badge was the correct height to match your numbers. and to keep with bmw, might as well just do what they are with their m550d, m235i etc.. just put it first.
car looks great all black and the lci m3 front is awesome. an all black car in vegas, god bless you.
