There is no tune up at 30k, only an Inspection service which entails about one to two hours of labor. It includes various visual, electrical and mechanical checks and a road test.

Good to know Tom, but what are the time frames for tune ups?

www.harmonymotorworks.com is listed on bimrs.org, and there are several others listed on bimmershops.com.

As mentioned, no tune-ups. All service is Condition Based (CBS) called for by the computer. The warranty and maintenance booklet calls out the few items that aren't covered by CBS, and does have a list of things to check. Or you can go all crazy and get Mike Miller's mileage-based old-school schedule.

Right. The only traditional "tune-up" item is the spark plug change which isn't called for until 100,000 miles on the OP's 328i. My E46 328i was traded with 97k miles on the original plugs and the motor ran perfectly.

(Also, don't forget to change the brake fluid every two years as mentioned in the warranty/service manual.)
