E92 335d Custom Exhaust

Dear Friends,

I am looking for a custom exhaust supplier to fit an exchaust to my E92 335d. I know its not going to improve performnace much - perhaps allow the turbos to spool up quicker but my desire is purely based on aesthetics (larger tips really).

I think the way to go after looking at the exhaust is probably two straigh through pipes with nice tips.

I am in the Berks area - anyone know of a supplier / fitter not to far from me ?

Any direction warmly appreciated.

Thanks

CKS over in Watford are not that far away from Windsor, and have a good reputation.

I'm sure they could knock you up a good system,it's a fairly easy job to do.

www.cksperformance.com

Something along these lines will do (not by CKS btw)

Could I ask are these just for visuals or do they make the sound more gruntier by any means? Looks great OP, I love what you'd did with the car. How comes you're selling your bits n bobs?

This is a good read. One of the American chaps wrote a review on his custom 335d exhaust. Plenty of pictures and he appears to have done plenty of research too.

Definitely gruntier, and proven power gains, you should see 10/15bhp from a straight through exhaust.
Cars going sadly.

Not the best of vids, nor a good representation of the sound, but it will give you some idea

Funnily enough I was just looking at CKS exhaust videos. The E9X videos don't sound great, whether that's the video or not I don't know.

I had the CKS pipes fitted today - no real sound improvement, slightly deeper but thats it.

Turbos seems more lively as does the car in general, dont know if that is placebo effect but it defo looks nicer.

£295+ Vat supply and fit - completely custom with 4" slash cut tips.

Reading a couple of threads on the US site, unless you change the downpipes you wont see much difference. It might sound different but dont look like it will do to much performance wise.

Plus side it will look better.
