Whats Happened
As im getting no response in the Audio forum I hope that my UK brothers could help.....................
Dear All I am having some challenges with my audio setup, which consists of : JBL MS8 Alpine PDX4.100 L7 Speaker setup incl centre Earthquakes for the under seats The processor drives all the speakers in the car, the amp drives the subs. I am getting no sub bass whatsoever now. Checked the amp and the lights are on and both fuses seem fine. Should also add I've got 4 gauge from the battery separately fused, which feeds a distribution block which is fused again and this feeds both the amp and processor via 8 gauge. The processor is working and as said the amp lights are on ? Any ideas people?? Would an amp fail whilst still having the lights on. ? How can I check it ? Any direction welcomed - cheers

Have you got the subs running in HP / Stereo mode?
What ohms are the subs and amp? Where is the amp signal turn on being picked up from? Did you test the Earthquakes before fitting them, to ensure they output a LP signal / bass tone? Where are you picking up the headunit signal from? |

Hi Mate,
Everything has been running fine for months so its not a new install. AMP signal turn on is linked to the 'remote line' on the MS8. The HU signal is coming straight into the processor via 4 channels over speakerwire. I have the amp linked to the MS8 via RCA.

If you want to test your amp with my speakers/subs for the sake of discounting the amp as the cause- it would be a case of swapping a few cables in my boot...

I guess I have missed this thread.
I have responded to your pm. Check as I stated. If you have a multi-meter, worth of checking if you are getting any resistance in the wiring of under seat. Who fitted it at the first place?
