I think you can make it work but I would ask Aleks the question directly.

i was looking through the site for Audio/Video module for BMW 2006-2008, in the description it says it have 2 modes, standard or PIP. are they the same price?

wondering if i should get the unit with the rear view camera, any suggestions?

You can select either mode - they are both programmed into the unit. The rear camera is great - it's actually the main reason I want the unit.

I asked the same question and he said that they are the same price.

If the extra cost of having him come out here is not too much, I am almost positive that I will get the Audio/Video module and the Slim DVD Player. Let me know how much the "accomodations" will cost. Thanks!

Our back up cameras come with White LED lights, Higher TV/resolution / pixel density which results in better image quality.
What are the specs on the camera?

What's the advantage of having a front camera? I'm getting in on this but I can't decide if I also want the front camera or not as I can't figure out what its purpose is. Is it just for playing with? Does it help when parking against a curb?

I would think it serves the same purpose as your rear view for parking purposes.

Front camera

I use it to make sure I don't scrape the bottom of my front bumper on curb stops as well as to park my car very close in my garage. It may be me, but I can't see the front of the car and without this end up parking quite far back in order to prevent damage.

Plus, you can drive with the front cam on so if you do a track event you can record from it.

That's why I am interested, but has anyone done this with this camera? How is the picture quality when blown up to full screen TV, or even computer monitor size?

I think it has been done - I would write Aleks and ask about the specifics.

Hey Bill,

I have decided to pass on this even though the offer to install for free is a great deal. GL everyone and enjoy the setups!
