Loud engine sound

It's starting to get hot in Tx now so just wanted to know if anyone is getting the loud ass engine fan sound when cruising around.

I live 5 miles from work and driving back today, took it easy and did not floor it or anything and A/C was on lowest setting, the engine fan was LOUD!!!! Engine temp was hovering ~ 240.

Anyone else experiencing this??

I had the same loud sound too these days. I guess German cars just can not stand the TX heat

I know the fan is there to cool the car off, but it is loud....similar to when you are standing outside your house A/C unit when its spinning.

Yes, it is really loud when I step outside the car and go to the front.

same for my 328i coupe
It is so loud, especially under the sun for a while. But at night, it sounds quiter. I had a Acura TSX before, the japanese car does not have the fan noise like the bmw does.

My car is so loud that the steering wheel shakes when I have the AC on full blast!

How do you know what your engine tetmp is at? I don't have a damn gauge on my car.

hey, I just drove my car for the first time in 2 weeks today.... nothing out of the ordinary....

actually... my temp hit 250 today, 11 miles from home to work... I thought that was strange...

You have to access the secret menu to see the coolant temperature. I think it's code 07 or something like that. You'll also need to convert from *C to *F.

I was also surprised about how loud my engine fan is. It sounds like a freaking jet taking off! It's kind of embarrassing. The AC fan is loud too...
