Track Result FBO car
Okay so i need some help and input from the community on what to do
i was at the track 2 weeks ago and my mods were following E92 335I AT Cobb e30 map Bms Intake VRSF downpipe Muffler Delete stock IC(yes i still used e30 map without an upgraded FMIC since i wanted to compare the results from this week with VRSF FMIC) I ran 12.42 with 2.0 60" and 113.60mph This week Friday i went to the track again having the VRSF 5" intercooler install as the only difference and ran 12.39 with 1.9x 60" and 113.28mph So while i improved by barely much trap speed was down so if everyone can take a look at my log and suggest what i could do for next week Friday to cut the time down would be great Thanks Pratik. I can;t see the logs now but you should definitely be faster , I was getting 113mph traps on stage 2+ agg

Marv i know you are very knowleagble i would love to see your input on the logs but from what i know logs seems to be fine the only issue is FMIC is not performing well and causing timing correction resulting in less power lmk what you see and think Thanks |

so I won;t say I dug deep into the logs because I really need to sleep for a morning meeting... but here is a couple of things I noticed: on all your logs, you are underboosting (your max was 17.5 psi) (not hitting your load). I think some work on the WGDC main table would help. hell I would raise all of it by 10% and see how that changes my load. After that it would have to be fine tuning since you want to be closer to your load at some places but not overboosts at others. btw it seems to me that WGDC actual is on the high side for the boost, just fyi.. When I looked at your track log, the trap speed suddenly makes sense. you boost curve looks like stage2+ sport, your timing looks like stage2+ agg which is significantly lower than what E30 should give you. and that would make all the difference in power between the two maps. The stock intercooler definitely needs to go, and it needs to fast. you are hitting the IAT compensation limits which retards timing. I would also run more ethanol if I could. raise it to 40%, your fuel system can probably handle it. your fuel is spot on... Hope this helps

The only rational solution i see is switching back to the stock IC...
Also try having under a quater tank of fuel, each gallon weighs about 6 pounds. 12 gallons is 72 pounds extra weight... It'll like puting bricks in your trunk before going to the strip. |

Well at the track I was at little more than quarter tank so weight is not an issue plus I personally only weight 120lbs
I agree with you on the stock ic back but why would I do that when I have logs from stock ic showing wot at multiple gears with same temps so all in all vrsf and stock is the same |

After checking these logs, your car seems to be pulling quite a large amount of timing without there being a significant increase in IATs. This is apparent on the stock intercooler logs as well.
Your track log 7 shows a large amount of timing being pulled in the 95 degree AIT range as well as a lot of timing pulled well under 125-130. Last edited by Tiago@VRSF; 04-29-2013 at 01:58 AM.. |

Tiago by no means did I want to make this an issue with the ic right now I just wanted ppl to see my logs and see if there something else wrong with the logs but since you mentioned log 7 lets see
That log is one out of 5 other logs I have and even 130 is way high considering ambient was 70f and that was only in beginning 4th gear(90-100mph) so if I were to continue and hit I would have easily reached the 150-170 temps are shows like the rest of the logs All in all the ic is not bad for one gear pull but since its evident from other logs I have that we're recorded in just single gear pull that temps only raise upto 20-30 which is fine considering the price vrsf is worth but in reality when are you only going to drive your car in one gear at wot? |

If anything I'm giving vrsf the benefit of a doubt by comparing the logs of vrsf ic at night in FL when temps are low like friday night 70 compare to temps of stock ic when it was done during day time in afternoon when its 80+ degrees

I'm not trying to argue with ya man, I'm trying to help
Log 7 is one of the only ones I had a chance to study. I skimmed all other 6 logs and they all had similar issues. I'm not arguing the final AIT or what it would have been if you ran out the gear, I'm saying your car is pulling loads of timing before the AIT's become a threat. |

Tiago I'm surprised when I asked you nicely for refund you started talking about charging me restocking fees if product is not received in its proper condition when clearly the product has FAILED TO PERFORM AS ADVERTISED
Instead of trying to charge me you should have to paid me for the valuable time I wasted to have this piece of shit installed so its fine if even after all these logs and proof you won't do anything However You know if you believe people will buy your product and one honest review like mine is not going to affect your business then with that same mentality I would sell your product back to a user on sale thread and make back what I paid but just remember you only look at things how you want to look at not reality and what actually is |
